Admittedly, this year’s theme for the Educators
Conference is a little bit different.Perhaps your first impression is,
“huh?”Hopefully,
though, your interest is peaked to know a bit more about the
content of 2Corinthians: 3 and its application to ministry in a
Lutheran school.
In Paul’s letter to the believers in Corinth, he addresses them
as ministers of the New Covenant and describes them as, “letters
from Christ…written not with ink but with the Spirit of
the living God.”
That is you.That is
us.We are letters
from Christ, sent into the world to be His message. What a gift!
What a responsibility!What an honor!
Fortunately for us, God in His wisdom did not leave the
letter-writing to us, nor did he leave the delivery to us.As the author and perfector of our faith, God, by the
power of the Holy Spirit at work in us, directs us so that we
can live our lives with confidence and with
competence that only He can give.
We have an incredible, life-saving message to share with the
world.And God is
counting on each of us to share that message, to “forward the
letter,” if you will, to make
dramatic
impact in the lives of children and their families.
This conference is
dedicated to nurturing you, a “letter from Christ” called to
ministry through a Lutheran school, to be better equipped for
joyful, enthusiastic service to those He places in your path.

"God blessed me with an
unexpected and incredible
adversity that helped shape my
original message. My personal
testimony is about how to
truly trust Jesus Christ with
your entire life, regardless of
the circumstances.
After taping a chapel service I
did at Concordia University NE
about my experience, I mailed
the tape to friends and family
who were praying for me. Those
tapes were taken to church or
given to friends who were also
dealing with an adversity.
People heard the tape and asked
me to come tell more of the
story. When people would ask me
to come back and speak, I'd
respond with, "You heard my
story; that's all I've got."
As a result, I developed many
more talks. That was 14 years
ago. Since then, I've been
blessed to speak in 25 different
states and to countless groups,
ranging from ONE to over 28,000
at a time. I've spoken in huge
arenas, for Christian companies,
at countless churches and
schools, in a cow pasture, and
even in prison; each has been a
blessing!"
